SPARK in Vt Flame Tenders
Position Summary: The Flame Tenders will play a crucial role in promoting SPARK in Vt’s events and activities. This volunteer position involves engaging with the community through digital platforms to increase awareness and participation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Event Promotion: Share information about upcoming events, initiatives, and programs on Front Porch Forum and social media platforms.
- Community Engagement: Respond to inquiries and engage with community members on social media and listservs to foster a sense of connection and encourage participation.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Track engagement metrics and report on the effectiveness of outreach efforts, suggesting improvements where necessary.
- Collaboration: Work closely with our team to align messaging and ensure consistency across all platforms.
Qualifications:
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.) and Front Porch Forum.
- Passion for community engagement and outreach.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Time Commitment:
- Flexible hours, approximately 1 hour per week based on availability.
- Commitment for at least 6 months.

Role Overview
As a Social Media Deva, you will play a crucial role in managing and growing SPARK’s social media accounts. You will be responsible for creating engaging content, strategizing campaigns, and fostering community interactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop with SPARK Board of Directors a social media strategy to increase our online presence.
- Create, curate, and manage published content (images, videos, and written content).
- Monitor social media channels and engage with followers to build community.
- Analyze social media metrics to assess campaign effectiveness and improve future strategies.
- Stay updated with social media trends and best practices.
- Collaborate with the SPARK team to align social media content with organizational goals.
Qualifications
- Passion for social media and community engagement.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.).
- Basic knowledge of social media analytics tools.
- Creative mindset with the ability to produce engaging content.
- Experience in graphic design or video editing is a plus.

- Collaborate with the Social Media Developer to ensure consistency in messaging across platforms.
- Write and edit engaging content that captures the interest of our audience.
- Compile information about upcoming events, initiatives, and community highlights.
- Analyze newsletter performance metrics to improve future editions.
- Stay up-to-date with trends in email marketing and best practices.
Qualifications
- Strong writing and editing skills, with an eye for detail.
- Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact) is a plus.
- Basic graphic design skills to create visually appealing newsletters.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
